Vincent Renaut Becomes Kings Point's First Ever National Champion

Mar 6, 2010 - CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA - Junior Vincent Renaut of the No. 13 United States Merchant Marine Academy wrestling team defeated Augsburg College junior Orlando Ponce for the 165-pound national title on Saturday evening. Renaut etches his name in the Kings Point history books as he becomes the first wrestler in school history to become take home a national championship.

Mar 6, 2010 - CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA - The No. 13 United States Merchant Marine Academy wrestling team will see one of its own in the final round of the NCAA Division III Tournament. Junior Vincent Renaut, who was named an All-American, will battle Augsburg College junior Orlando Ponce for the 165 pound national title at 8 p.m. EST tonight. This will mark the first time in school history that a Merchant Marine wrestler will compete in the finals.
