Men’s Basketball Hosts Spring Break Basketball Camp
Mar 25, 2009 - The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy Men’s basketball team will be hosting the 2009 Spring Break Kings Point Basketball Camp from April 13-16. The Co-ed camp will be open to grades 3-8 and run from 9am to 3pm Daily. Mariners Fall To Lehman In First Round Of ECAC Tournament
Mar 4, 2009 - The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men’s basketball team fell to Lehman College, 76-63 in the NY/NJ Metro ECAC Championship Tournament. Freshman Denver Effland led the Mariners with 14 points and sophomore Tom Izzo pitched in with 12 points.

Men’s Basketball Gets An ECAC Bid As The Five Seed
Mar 2, 2009 - The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men’s basketball team was given the number five seed in the ECAC Metro NY/NJ Division III Championships. The Mariners will take on the number four seed Lehman College. The game will mark the first time that the Mariners have been to the post season since the 2002-2003 season. USMMA will play at Lehman College on Wednesday, March 4th and game time is slated for 7:30 pm.
Mariners Fall To Susquehanna in Landmark Conference Semifinals
Feb 25, 2009 - The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men’s basketball team fell to Susquehanna University, 82-71 in the Landmark Conference Tournament semifinals. Junior Ryan Samuel led the Mariners with 18 points and senior Pat Grace pitched in with 16 points.
Mariners Hit Triple Digits For The First Time In Seven Years
Feb 21, 2009 - The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men’s basketball team defeated Drew University in record fashion, 111-49 on Saturday, February 21st. The 111 points by the Mariners is the sixth highest point total in school history and the 10th time a Mariners team has netted triple digits. The Mariners also set a school record with 21 three-point field goals. Senior Pat Grace led the Mariners with 22 points on 6-of-8 shooting from three-point range. Tom Izzo pitched in with 17 points.

Men's Basketball To Host A Pair Of Camps This Spring
Feb 12, 2008 - The United States Merchant Marine Academy men’s basketball program will be hosting two coed basketball camps for students in grades 2-8 this spring. Led by Head Coach John Krikorian and Assistant Coaches Brian Duross and Pershin Williams, the day camp will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
