Women’s Cross Country Finishes The Year At NCAA Atlantic Regional Meet

LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Nov. 10, 2018) – The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women's cross country team's season concluded today at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Meet earlier this morning, hosted by Rowan University at Gloucester Co. DREAM Park. The Mariners came in 30th place out of an extremely competitive 44-team pack. 

Freshman Robin King (Raymond, Ohio) came in 66th place in the 6K race with a time of 24:19.1. Classmate Brooke Jorstad (La Crosse, Wis.) crossed next, in 122nd in 25:14.4. Fellow plebe Anna Grafton (Belmont, N.H.) placed 173rd with a time of 26:13.5. 

Finishing out the race for USMMA was senior Kelsey Ramirez (Stevensville, Mich.) in 211th (209 team points) in 27:07 and classmate Erica Lawlor (Stafford Springs, Conn.) in 275th place (266 points) with a time of 30:21.0.
