Pope Lands On Skyline Women’s Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll

KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Oct. 11, 2016) – USMMA junior outside hitter Dominique Pope (Silver Spring, Md.) was named to the Skyline Conference Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced on Tuesday. The accolade comes after Pope's performances in the Mariners' three matches last week, in which they compiled a 2-1 record.

Pope led the Mariners with 3.70 kills per set and 3.90 digs per set over three matches last week. She recorded back-to-back double-doubles in a Skyline tri-match on Saturday with 12 kills and 13 digs in a loss to Farmingdale and a season-high 17 kills and 16 digs in a win over St. Joseph's (L.I.).

This is the second time this season that Pope has been honored by the Skyline, as she was named the Skyline Player of the Week back on Sept. 12.

The Mariners (10-6) are back at it tomorrow night, Wednesday, Oct. 12, when they travel to the Bronx to face Lehman College (4-15) in non-conference action. First serve is set for 7 p.m. at the Lightning's APEX Gymnasium. Live stats and a live video feed of the match will be available with links on the USMMA Women's Volleyball Schedule Page.
