KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Jan. 21, 2016) – On Wednesday, the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced the Corvias Players of the Week for women's swimming & diving and USMMA freshman Tyler Wickesberg (Albuquerque, N.M.) earned Division III Metro Rookie of the Week honors for the first time this year.
Wickesberg led the Mariners with five first-place finishes over two meets last week, helping USMMA to a 2-1 record. Individually, she won the 100 Short Course Meter Individual Medley (1:11.38) and the 100 Short Course Meter Freestyle (1:01.48) at the York/Old Westbury meet and the 100 Back (59.17) and 200 Back (2:11.90) on Saturday over Coast Guard. She was also a part of the 200 Short Course Meter Medley Relay squad that touched first with a time of 2:25.43 on Wednesday at York. Wickesberg also had two second-place finishes as well.

The Mariners were scheduled to compete against Marywood University this Saturday, Jan 23, but the meet has been postponed due to the anticipated snowstorm that will hit the Northeast this weekend. No make-up date has been announced yet. Check www.usmmasports.com for the latest updates.
