Women’s Swimming & Diving Takes 4th in Landmark Championships
KINGS POINT, N.Y. – On Sunday, the 2011 Landmark Conference Swimming & Diving Championships concluded and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women's team earned fourth place by racking up 306 points.
Rookie Emily Olsen (Glenwood, N.J.) took second place in the 200-yard breaststroke with a clocking of 2:29.45. In the same event, sophomore Casey Moore (Tucson, Ariz.) finished in fifth (2:35.30).
Sophomore Erika Lawson (Lebanon, Pa.) finished in seventh in the 200-yard butterfly (2:22.85).
In the epic 1,650-yard freestyle event, rookie Alexandra Biehn (Burnsville, Minn.) placed sixth with a time of 19:00.30.
In the 100-yard freestyle, freshman Kate Radzwill (Woodbury, Minn.) placed sixth with a mark of 56.22 seconds.
In the 400-yard freestyle relay, the team of Moore, Biehn, Radzwill and sophomore Lauren Seebode (Trappe, Md.) finished fifth (3:48.33).
