Before USMMA: Was a four year letter winner at Eaton Rapids...his high school team was one of the top four teams in the state his juinor year and the state runner-up his senior year...he holds his high school records in wins, pins and escapes...he finished sixth in the state his sophomore year, second his junior year and fourth his senior year...was a member of National Honor Society his junior and senior year.
