Wohner Garners Fifth-Straight Skyline Rookie Of The Week Honor; Reilly Earns Honor Roll Nod

KINGS POINT, N.Y. (April 16, 2019) – On Monday, the Skyline Conference announced that USMMA freshman Jessie Wohner (Norfolk, Va.) was selected as the league's women's lacrosse Rookie of the Week for the fifth-consecutive week, while senior Jessica Reilly (Sayville, N.Y.) landed on the weekly honor roll. The accolades come after the duo's performances in the Mariners' two road Skyline victories last week – 21-5 at Old Westbury on Tuesday and 16-3 at rival SUNY Maritime on Saturday.

Wohner tied for the team-best with 10 points on eight goals and two assists in the two wins. She scored three goals and dished out one assist against the Panthers on Tuesday and then had what wound up being the game-winning tally as part of a five-goal, one assist day against the Privateers on Saturday. The rookie also scooped up four groundballs on the week.

Reilly also had 10 points for the Mariners, scoring seven goals and adding three assists. The senior also scooped up seven groundballs and had 11 draw controls on the week, while causing two turnovers.
