    Six Mariners Selected To Landmark Conference Spring All-Sportsmanship Teams Back in May, the Landmark Conference announced the league’s spring season All-Sportsmanship Teams and USMMA had six student-athletes selected to the squads for their displays of sportsmanship throughout the season. The All-Sportsmanship Team includes one student-athlete from each institution for each sport and is selected by the players and coaches from their respective team.

The Mariners honored graduating seniors Alison Griffith (Farmingdale, N.J.) and Elizabeth Noonan (Charlottesville, Va.) with a special Senior Day ceremony.

    WLAX Falls To Coast Guard, 14-5, In First Ever Meeting With Bears The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women’s lacrosse team hosted Coast Guard on Tuesday night at Brooks Stadium in the first ever meeting between the two schools, as the Bears just joined the NCAA ranks for the 2015 season. Despite a strong second half, the Mariners lost to their rivals by the final score of 14-5. USMMA’s record drops to 1-9 overall on the season, while USCGA improves to 4-11.

    Women’s Lacrosse Upended By Catholic Saturday On The Road On Saturday, the USMMA women’s lacrosse team lost a road Landmark Conference game at Catholic by the final score of 18-1. The defeat drops the Mariners to 1-8 (0-5 Landmark), while the Cardinals improve to 11-3 (5-0 Landmark).

The Marines lost by the final score of 17-4, dropping their record to 1-6 (0-4 Landmark), while Scranton improved to 5-6 (3-0 Landmark).

    Mariners Earn Second Program Victory With 15-1 Home Win Over St. Elizabeth Wednesday The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women’s lacrosse team defeated non-conference opponent the College of Saint Elizabeth, 15-1, on Wednesday night for the Mariners’ second win in program history. It was also the largest margin of victory and most goals scored in a game for USMMA. With the win, the Mariners improve to 1-4 on the season, while the Eagles fall to 0-6.

    Basketball Game Day: Women Host Moravian, Men NYU Tuesday Night At O’Hara Hall The USMMA men's and women's basketball teams will host their first doubleheader of the season on Tuesday night as the women will take on Landmark Conference opponent Moravian at 5:30 p.m. and the men will welcome in non-conference NYU shortly after at 7:30 p.m. Both games will be held at the Liebertz Gymnasium in O’Hara Hall.
