Pittman Named Skyline Rookie Of The Week; Collins Lands On Honor Roll

KINGS POINT, N.Y. (April 17, 2019) – On Monday, the Skyline Conference announced that USMMA freshman Tyler Pittman (Albuquerque, N.M.) was named the league's men's track & field Rookie of the Week, while senior David Collins (North Kingstown, R.I.) landed on the weekly honor roll. The praise comes after the pair's finishes at the Coach Omeltchenko Invitational this past Sunday. 

Pittman won the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:13.62, which was nearly eight seconds faster the second-place finisher from CCNY. The freshman also came in sixth place in the 800m run with a time of 2:05.06. 

Collins won the hammer throw with a toss of 47.91 meters and also came in second place in the shot put with a hurl of 11.13 meters.
