NEW LONDON, Conn. (April 10, 2018) – On Tuesday, the USMMA men's track & field team took on arch-rival Coast Guard in a dual meet at the Bears' Nitchman Field. The Mariners fell short of Coast Guard in the head-to-head matchup.
Highlights of the meet included senior Austin MacElrevey (Lewes, Del.) hitting an ECAC Qualifying Mark in the 5000m with a time of 15:29.33. The time was good for second place in the event. In the shot put, senior Ian Stoner (Glen Allen, Va.) came in first place with a toss of 14.02m – which was his second ECAC mark of the season.

Up next, the Mariners will participate in the Queensborough Community College Relays this Saturday, April 14. Action is set to get underway at 11 a.m. at the Q.C.C. Track in nearby Bayside, N.Y.
