MacElrevey Receives First Ever Skyline Outdoor Track Athlete Of The Week Honor

KINGS POINT, N.Y. (April 10, 2018) – The Skyline Conference has added outdoor track & field to its championship offerings for the first time in 2018 and with that comes weekly awards and the league announced on Monday that USMMA senior Austin MacElrevey (Lewes, Del.) was named the first ever Skyline Outdoor Track & Field Track Athlete of the Week. The recognition comes after MacElrevey's performances in the season-opening TCNJ Invitational this past weekend. 

The senior had two of the Mariners' seven top-10 finishes at the TCNJ Invite this past weekend. He came in second place in the  in the 1500m run in 4:11.22 and he also placed fourth in the 3000m in 8:51.11. The second place finish in the 1500m tied for the team's best finish at the event.

The Mariners just left the Academy on their way up to New London, Conn., this afternoon for a rivalry dual meet against Coast Guard. Action is set to get underway at 3 p.m. at the Bears' Nitchman Field. For a complete schedule of events from today's meet, click here
