Washington Competes in Triple Jump at ECAC Championships

Senior Tyler Washington (Chatham, NY) took part in the 2014 ECAC Indoor Track & Field Championships after qualifying in the triple jump.  Washington's top jump of the season tied the USMMA Academy record at the Molloy College Invitational with a mark of 13.74 meters, sending him to this weekend's meet.  He also took second-place at the 2014 Landmark Conference Indoor Championships in the triple jump.

Washington placed 23rd at the ECAC Championships, posting a jump of 13.14 meters in the finals.  Kris Joint of Moravian established a new ECAC record to win the event, landing 15.09 meters away from the line.

The USMMA track and field teams kick-off the outdoor season March 22 at the Wagner Invitatioinal in Staten Island, NY.
