Hicks Lands On Skyline Men’s Tennis Honor Roll For Second-Straight Week; Purchase Match Postponed To Wednesday

KINGS POINT, N.Y. (April 3, 2017) – The Skyline Conference announced on Monday that USMMA senior James Hicks (Haddon Heights, N.J.) was selected to the league's men's tennis weekly honor roll after his performances in the Mariners' two matches last week. This is the second straight week that Hicks has earned this accolade.
 
Hicks recorded a 2-0 record at #1 doubles last week to go along with a 1-1 record at #1 singles. He accounted for Merchant Marine's two points in a 7-2 home loss to arch-rival Coast Guard on Wednesday – winning 9-8 (7-5) at doubles and 6-3, 6-3 at singles. In a 7-2 home Skyline win over Mount St. Mary on Sunday, the senior claimed an 8-3 win at doubles, but lost a tough one in singles, 2-6, 7-6, 1-0 (12-10).

The Mariners' Skyline Conference match up at Purchase that was scheduled for today - Tuesday, April 4 - has been postponed to tomorrow - Wednesday, April 5. Start time will be 6 p.m. at the Panthers' Tennis Complex.
