KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Feb. 18, 2016) – Earlier this week, the Landmark Conference announced the complete list of postseason honors for men's and women's swimming & diving and USMMA had a total of 17 student-athletes and the coaching staff honored.
On the men's side, senior Gerrit Porter (Houston, Texas) was named the Diver of the Year for the fourth-consecutive year, sweeping the award for his career, while freshman Christopher Kahl (Solomons, Md.) took home the Rookie of the Year honors. Head Coach Sean Tedesco and Diving Coach Johan Lopez were named the Men's Coaching Staff of the Year.
Five Mariner men earned First Team All-Landmark honors with first-place finishes at the 2016 Landmark Championships this past weekend. Both Kahl and junior Stone Hewitt (Destin, Fla.) earned the accolades four times – Kahl in the 100 Back, 200 Back, 200 Medley Relay and the 400 Medley Relay; and Hewitt in the 100 Breast, 200 Breast, 200 Medley Relay and the 400 Medley Relay. Porter, senior William Kelsik (New Castle, Ind.) and freshman Matheus Macedo (Elk Grove, Calif.) all earned First Team honors two separate times – Porter in the 1m Dive and 3m Dive; and both Kelsik and Macedo in the 200 Medley Relay and 400 Medley Relay.

(1m Dive, 3m Dive); Kahl (200 IM); Kelsik (100 Fly, 200 Free Relay); sophomore Andrew Jackson (Chesapeake, Va.) (200 Free Relay); sophomore Joshua Jepsen (San Diego, Calif.) (800 Free Relay); senior Blair Roberts (South Jordan, Utah) (100 Back); junior Karl Sasse (Frederick, Md.) (100 Breast, 200 Free Relay); Macedo (200 Free Relay); junior Kevin Sweetman (Austin, Texas) (800 Free Relay); and junior John Terselic (Tijera, N.M.) (800 Free Relay)
For the women, junior Blythe Fentress (Shady Shores, Texas) earned the Women's Diver of the Year accolades for the second straight season. Fentress and freshman Tyler Wickesberg (Albuquerque, N.M.) both earned All-Landmark First Team accolades twice – Fentress in the 1m Dive and 3m Dive and Wickesberg in the 100 Back and 200 Back.
Wickesberg (100 Fly), junior Jolyn Green (Riverside, Calif.) (200 IM) and freshman Kara Korengel (Cincinnati, Ohio) (3m Dive) all earned Second Team All-Landmark with second-place finishes this past weekend.

The Mariners return to action this weekend, as they look to earn more NCAA Cut times at the Metropolitan Conference Swimming & Diving Championships. The three-day event begins on Friday, Feb. 19, and will be held at the Rutgers Aquatic Center on the campus of Rutgers University in Piscataway, N.J.
