USMMA men's and women's swimming and diving coach Sean Tedesco was voted onto the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Board of Directors at the organization's Business Meeting and Convention in Orlando, Florida. Tedesco will serve as one of two representatives on the board for Division III swimming. Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the oldest organization of college coaches in America and is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming at the collegiate level.
"I am proud to accept and serve as a CSCAA Division III representative," said Tedesco. "I look forward to being a voice of Division III Swimming and Diving."
Tedesco is a 16-time conference coach of the year and led the USMMA men's team to a sixth straight Landmark Conference Championship in 2012-13. At the 2013 NCAA Championships, Tedesco helped to guide Kevin Lindgren to a runner-up finish in the 200 backstroke as well as two All-America honors. Along with Tedesco, Jack Bauerle of the University of Georgia and Duncan Sherrard of Florida Southern College were also named to the board for Division I and Division II, respectively.
"I am tremendously excited to work with these new members of the CSCAA Board of Directors," said CSCAA Executive Director Joel Shinofield. "They are excellent coaches and bring tremendous knowledge and experience to the board."
