Kings Point, NY - The Mariners men's swimming and diving team won 10-of-13 events Sunday afternoon in a convincing 166-65 triumph over Landmark Conference rival Marywood.  The Merchant Marine men are undefeated in dual meets versus Landmark Conference opponents since the league's inception six years ago.

The meet started with the Mariners picking up an eight second victory in the 400 yard medley relay.  Alvaro Brice (The Woodlands, TX) hit the wall first in both the 200 freestyle and the 100 butterfly.  Blake Krell (Fort Myers, FL) also captured a pair of wins by out-racing the field in the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke.  William Porter (Houston, TX) swept the diving events for the second straight day, claiming first-place in the 1-meter and 3-meter events.

Freshman Jamie Masterson (Charlottesville, VA) took first in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.32 seconds.  Sean Minor (Fort Myers, FL) hit the wall ahead of his competition in 49.57 to claim victory in the 100 freestyle.  William Kelsik (Newcastle, IN) clcked in at 1:04.68 to win the 100 breaststroke.

Tom Stewart (Malverne, NY) set new personal season bests in the 200 and 500 freestyle events.  Joshua Sindorf (Lancaster, PA) also notched season bests in the same events by three and five seconds, respectively.

The men's swimming and diving team returns to action on Saturday for a tri-meet with Goucher and Drew.
