Another Mariner Earns All-American Honors
Freshman Kevin Lindgren (pictured right) became the second member of the United States Merchant Marine Academy's swim team to earn All-American status this week with his 16th place finish in the 100 Backstroke.
His time of 50.07 was .21 faster than his previous best mark; re-breaking his own Academy record.
Senior Captain Frank Vita (pictured left) became an All-American earlier this week with his personal best performance in the 100 Fly. Last night, he re-broke his Academy record finishing in fourth place in the 200 Fly with a time of 1:49.39, .38 faster than his previous best.
Kings Point is currently placed 29th after Day 3 of compettion.
