Swimmers and Divers Set to Battle For Landmark Supremacy

The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men's and women's swimming and diving teams will compete in the Landmark Conference Championships this Friday through Sunday, February 10th-12th at Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

For the women's team, Freshman Jacqueline White, (pictured right) from Oradell, NJ has been a standout performer all season long for the Mariners.  Kings Point looks to improve their rank in the conference standings in an attempt to break a variety of Academy records.

On the men's side, USMMA has enjoyed another dominant regular season and could be poised to claim an unprecedented fifth consecutive Landmark title and 11th Conference title.  The Mariners boast a great deal of depth and have many competitors ranked at the top of the seed times entering the meet. The duo of Senior Frank Vita and Freshman Kevin Lindgren (pictured left) has performed well in a variety of events and the team has reloaded its diving corps led by Sophomore Devan Bailey. The Mariners won the title by 125.5 points over Susquehanna last season.
