KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Nov. 2, 2018) – The last two teams to win Skyline Conference Championships will meet on the pitch on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 3, up at Mount St. Mary College in Newburgh, N.Y., with a chance to claim another league title and earn the Skyline's automatic berth into the upcoming NCAA Tournament.

Kickoff of the Skyline Championship Finals between the 2016 champions, the #3 seed U.S. Merchant Marine Academy Mariners, and the reigning 2017 champions, the #1 seed Mount St. Mary Knights, is scheduled for 1 p.m. at MSMC's Kaplan Field.

Scouting Mount St. Mary
The Knights enter Saturday's final at 13-5-1 and are winners of their last four outings, including a 3-0 shutout of Old Westbury in the conference semifinals on Wednesday night. They are outscoring their opponents, 13-3, over that four-game span.

Freshman Connor Doyle leads the team in goals with eight and was voted the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week on October 15.

Classmate Matthew Wyant is the team leader in points with 22, following a goal in Wednesday's semifinal, and is tied with senior Connor Lynch, who also scored on Wednesday, for second on the team in goals with seven.

Entering Saturday's contest, Wyant is tied for the conference lead in assists with eight and is fourth in the league in points.

In goal, sophomore Tyler Rapp has posted eight wins and four shutouts, including a 3-0 shutout on Wednesday, entering the weekend with a .707 save percentage and a 1.34 goals against average.
