KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Oct. 10, 2018) – USMMA junior Matt McCurnin (Newark, Del.) landed on the Skyline Conference men's soccer weekly honor roll for the week ending Oct. 7, the league announced on Monday. The honor comes after his performances in the Mariners' three games last week, in which they went 2-1 with a 5-1 home win over Mount St. Vincent, a 2-1 home loss to SUNY Maritime on Thursday and a 1-0 road victory at Farmingdale State on Saturday.
McCurnin scored two goals on the week, including the game-winner on Saturday to defeat the Rams. His other tally came in the home win over the CMSV Dolphins on Tuesday night. He now has five points on the season (two goals, one assist), which is tied for fifth on the team.

The Mariners have two players that rank high among Skyline leaders – junior keeper Matthew Milner (Mount Airy, Md.) is tops in the conference with a 0.507 goals against average and with a .838 save percentage, while his four solo shutouts are tied for third; and sophomore Zach Lysakowski (Reading, Pa.) is first in the Skyline with four game-winning goals, tied for sixth with six goals and eighth with 14 points. Nationally, Lysakowski is 11th in the country with the four GWGs and Milner's 0.507 GAA is 24th among all DIII players. As a team, the Mariners are 10th in the nation with 21.33 shots per game. The Mariners' complete NCAA statistical ranking can be viewed at this link.
