KINGS POING, N.Y. (Sept. 25, 2018) – USMMA junior Matthew Milner (Mount Airy, Md.) was selected to the Skyline Conference men's soccer weekly honor roll for the week ending Sept. 23, the league announced on Monday. The accolade comes after the goalkeeper's performances in the Mariners' two road games last week – a 0-0 draw against #22/21 Stevens on Tuesday and a 1-0 loss to Sarah Lawrence on Saturday.
Milner kept a clean sheet against the nationally-ranked Ducks on Tuesday night, his third shutout of the season (second solo shutout). He made five saves on the night, three in the final 19 minutes of regulation and one in each of the two overtime periods. The junior followed that up with a two-save performance for the Mariners in a tough road loss at Sarah Lawrence on Saturday. He now has a 4-2-1 record on the season.
