KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Sept. 27, 2016) – The Skyline Conference announced its weekly honors on Tuesday and USMMA senior soccer captain Gavin Yingling (Salisbury, Md.) was named to the honor roll after his performances in the Mariners' two games last week – a 2-1 double overtime home loss to Stevens on Wednesday and a 3-2 home Skyline victory over St. Joseph's-Brooklyn on Saturday.

Yingling scored a pair of goals in the win over the Bears on Saturday. His second tally of the game, a 33rd-minute marker, proved to be the game-winner. He now leads the Skyline Conference with eight goals in as many games, while his 16 points is tied for the league lead. The senior's eight goals also ranks him tied for 21st among all DIII men's soccer players.

Junior Jon Tarbox (Gettysburg, Pa.) currently leads the Skyline with six assists and his 0.75 assists per game ranks 14th in the country. Senior goalie and team captain Cory Maier (Hampton, Va.) is third in the conference with a 1.388 goals against average.
