KINGS POINT, N.Y (Sept. 6, 2016) – While the USMMA soccer team was in Baltimore for its season-opening tournament at Johns Hopkins this past weekend, the team paid a visit to Vane Brothers to learn more about an important part of the Maritime industry.

Former Mariner soccer standout Tom Lamm '79 and Vane Brothers President Duff Hughes hosted the team as they learned about a number of aspects of working on tugboats. The players took part in safety demonstrations and saw all the work in preparation for the incoming tropical storm which struck the East Coast.

"It was an interesting day and it's tremendous that our players were able to learn so much during a team trip," commented 27th-year head coach Michael Smolens.
