Mariners play at Rutgers-Camden in NCAA first round Saturday

KINGS POINT, N.Y. – The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy will meet Rutgers University-Camden in Camden, N.J. in a first-round game of the NCAA Division III men's soccer tournament on Saturday.

The kickoff of the game is expected to be determined on Tuesday.

The Mariners (11-6-1) qualified for their fifth overall tournament and third in a row by capturing the Landmark Conference crown with a 1-0 win over host Catholic University on Saturday.

Rutgers-Camden (16-2-2) earned the New Jersey Athletic Conference title with a 1-0 victory at Montclair State University on Saturday.

The winner will play the victor of the Wesleyan (Conn.)-Misericordia match-up in the second round on Sunday. Wesleyan is 10-2-3, while Misericordia is 13-2-4.

The semifinals and final of the tournament is set for Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas on Dec. 2-3.
