April 30, 2011 | Men's Lacrosse Lacrosse Falls in Season Finale to Susquehanna University, 16-6 Selinsgrove, Pa.-On Saturday afternoon, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men’s lacrosse team ended the 2011 season as well as Landmark Conference play with a 16-6 defeat to Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pa. The Crusaders improved to 11-5 overall and 3-2 in the league, while the Mariners dropped to 4-12 on the season and 0-5 in the conference.
A Pair of Mariners Named Athletes of the Week Phil Walker (Men’s Lacrosse) and Tomas Sanchez (Men’s Track and Field) were selected offensive player and track athletes of the week in their respective sports by the Landmark Conference.
| Men's Lacrosse Zach Gray Named Landmark Conference Player of the Year; Gray & Zakow Tabbed to All-Conference First Team MADISON, N.J. – On Thursday, the Landmark Conference announced its 2011 Men’s Lacrosse All-Conference selections and two Mariners were honored. Senior attack Zach Gray and junior attacker Sean Zakow were both named to the First Team. In addition, Gray was tabbed as the 2011 Player of the Year after his superb senior campaign.
