ECAC Selects Treon As Division III South Second Team All-Star

KINGS POINT, N.Y. (May 23, 2017) – On Tuesday, the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced that U.S. Merchant Marine Academy junior Nick Treon (Danville, Pa.) has been selected as a DIII South ECAC All-Star. Treon was named to the All-ECAC Second Team as an attackman and is one of six Skyline Conference student-athletes honored on the list.

This honor comes just two weeks after the Skyline Conference head coaches voted Treon onto the First Team All-Skyline. He was USMMA's leading scorer this past 2017 season with 81 points, as he recorded 43 goals and a team-high 38 assists. Treon also contributed to the Mariners' success this year in other ways than just on the scoresheet, as he ranked second on the squad with 38 groundballs and 10 caused turnovers.

At the conclusion of his junior season, Treon currently boasts 177 career points with 84 goals and 93 assists. He has also amassed 91 career GBs and caused 22 turnovers over the last three years.
