Miller Earns Second Team All-Skyline Conference Honors

NEW YORK (Feb. 27, 2017) – On Monday, the Skyline Conference unveiled the 2016-17 men's basketball postseason award winners and the All-Skyline Teams and USMMA senior guard Matt Miller (Augusta, Ga.) was selected by the league's head coaches to the All-Skyline Second Team. The honor highlights a fantastic four-year career for Miller, which included reaching the 1,000-point plateau.
 
At the end of the regular season, Miller ranked third in the Skyline in scoring (19.3 points per game), first in free throw percentage (.859), seventh in three-pointers made (2.2 per game), 12th in field goal percentage (.396) and 20th in rebounds (4.9 per game). He led Merchant Marine in scoring, three-point field goal percentage, free throws made (116) and minutes (32.7 per game), was second on the team in rebounds, third in blocked shots (0.4 per game) and fourth in assists (1.1 per game) and steals (0.9 per game).
 
Miller was the Skyline and Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association DII/III Player of the Week back on Dec. 19. He was also named to the Skyline men's basketball weekly honor roll five times throughout the season (Nov. 21, Jan. 23 & 30 and Feb. 6 & 13).
