Setting the Scene... The USMMA men's basketball takes to the road this weekend for back-to-back conference tilts against Moravian and #9 Scranton.  Merchant Marine is coming off of a blowout victory over arch rival Coast Guard on Wednesday night.  However, the Mariners are still in search of their first Landmark Conference win of the season.

Series History... Merchant Marine leads the all-time series with Moravian, 8-3, after the two sides split last year's meetings.  The home team came out on top in both of those games.  Scranton holds a 10-6 edge in the all-time series with USMMA and swept a pair of games from Merchant Marine in 2012-13.

Triple The Fun... The Mariners buried 11 three-pointers Wednesday against Coast Guard, including five from Reed Buck.  The outburst was the first time USMMA hit more than 10 trifectas since January 8, 2012 in an overtime game against Susquehanna.

Bang for your "Buck"... Reed Buck (Lawrenceville, GA) currently ranks first on the team and second in the Landmark Conference in scoring, averaging 19.0 points per game.  The junior has reached double figures in scoring in every game this season and added a game high 22 points versus Coast Guard.

Spreading Out the Scoring... USMMA started Wednesday's game with seven field goals from seven different players.  By the end of the night 15 players took the floor for head coach Danny Nee with 11 Mariners cracking the scoreboard.

Cleaning Up the Glass... Merchant Marine currently ranks second in the Landmark Conference in rebounding, hauling in 41.8 rebounds per game.  USMMA has only been out-rebounded once in 2012-13 and is also averaging a league best 15.0 offensive boards per game.

Up Next... The Mariners return to the court next Saturday afternoon as they welcome Vaughn to O'Hara Hall for a non-conference tilt in the second game of a double header.
