KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Oct. 19, 2018) – ESPN has confirmed a noon start time for the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy rivalry football game, The Secretaries' Cup, against the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at Brooks Stadium on the campus of USMMA.
This is the second-straight season that ESPN will broadcast the rivalry game as part of the company's week-long celebration of Veterans Day, during which the network honors and celebrates the dedication and sacrifices of those who have served our country – past, present and future.
Last year, the Mariners defeated the Bears, 48-23, up in New London, Conn. With the victory, USMMA captured the Secretaries' Cup for the third-straight season, the 16th time in the last 20 years and the 25th time since the Cup was established in 1981. Merchant Marine also leads the series, 32-14, which dates back to the first meeting back in 1949.
Like last year's contest, this year's game will again be streamed on ESPN3, also know as WatchESPN. To access the stream, follow this link.
