The USMMA baseball game against the City College of New York that was scheduled for Wednesday afternoon has been postponed due to rainstorms in the area.

Rangers Score Three In Top Of The Ninth To Top Mariners, 5-4
The USMMA baseball team lost its Landmark series-finale to Drew University, 5-4, on Monday night out at Baseball Heaven. The Mariners led 4-2 going into the last inning, but the Rangers scored three times in the top of the ninth to take the lead and eventually held off Merchant Marine in the bottom for the victory.

Sithong Earns Second Straight Landmark Baseball Athlete Of The Week Honor
The Landmark Conference announced on Monday that USMMA freshman Jacob Sithong (Orlando, Fla.) was named the Baseball Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week. The honor comes after the rookie helped lead the Mariners to a 3-0 week with a non-conference road win over Baruch on Tuesday and a doubleheader sweep over league foe Drew on Sunday.

Morgan’s Shutdown Pitching, Sithong’s Four-RBI Game Lead Mariners To Sweep Over Drew
The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy baseball team swept Drew University in a Landmark doubleheader on Sunday out at Baseball Heaven in Suffolk County, taking the first game by the final of 3-2 before winning the second on a walk-off in extra innings, 9-8, in eight.

Saturday’s Baseball Game Against Drew Postponed Due To Snow Storm
The late winter snow storm that hit the Metropolitan Area yesterday has forced the USMMA baseball game against Drew that was scheduled for 5 p.m. to be postponed. The storm dumped nearly seven inches of snow in parts of Suffolk County, where the game was supposed to be played at Baseball Heaven.

Due to the impending snow storm that is expected to hit the New York Metropolitan Area all day Friday, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy Athletic Department is announcing time changes to its home games for men’s and women’s lacrosse and baseball on Saturday, March 21.

Mariners Tame Bearcats In 11-8 Road Victory In Brooklyn On St. Patty’s Day; Sithong Earns Landmark And ECAC Weekly Honors
The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy baseball team won its first game played in its home state on Wednesday, a road contest against Baruch College at MCU Park in Coney Island. The Mariners outlasted the Bearcats, 11-8, on a very windy day and improve their record to 5-3, while Baruch falls to 3-8.

Baseball Sweeps Juniata In Landmark-Opening Series
The USMMA baseball team opened Landmark Conference action with a three-game series sweep over Juniata College over the past two days in the Mariners’ last bit of action down at the 2015 Gene Cusic Classic in sunny Florida. Merchant Marine’s record improves to 4-3 over (3-0 Landmark), while the Eagles fall to 4-4 (0-3 Landmark).

The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy baseball team captured its first win of the 2015 season on Wednesday, earning a 13-11 victory in eight innings in a sloppy game against Illinois College.

On Monday morning, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy baseball team finished its season-opening three-game series against rival Coast Guard down in Florida with a 6-2 loss. The Mariners’ record falls to 0-3 on the young season, while the Bears improve to 4-0.

Baseball Drops A Pair Of One-Run Games To Coast Guard In Season-Opening Doubleheader
The USMMA baseball team began the 2015 season on Sunday down in sunny Florida with a doubleheader against rival Coast Guard. The Mariners were on the wrong end of two one-run games, however, dropping the first by the score of 9-8 before falling in the second, 1-0.

The USMMA baseball season-opener against Purchase College that was scheduled for today, Wednesday, Feb. 25, has been postponed due to the frigid temperatures and unplayable field conditions at Purchase in nearby Westchester County, N.Y. No make-up date has been announced at this point.
