Men’s & Women’s Swim & Dive Upend Three Opponents Each At Home Skyline Quad-Meet Celebrating 80 Years Of The Program At Kings Point

KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Nov. 14, 2025) – The USMMA men's and women's swimming & diving teams both won their three head-to-head matchups on Friday night at the Sue Petersen Lubow Pool to improve to 5-0 on the season. The Mariners defeated Skyline foes SUNY Maritime, Mount St. Mary and St. Joseph's-Brooklyn on a night they celebrated "80 Years of Excellence" of the swim program at Kings Point.
 
Meet Link Freshman diver Carter Kov (Goodyear, Ariz.) hit his first NCAA qualifying marks of the season on both the one- and three-meter boards, as he won both disciplines with scores of 306.69 and 314.93, respectively.
 
The Mariner men won all but one of the 16 events on the night. Three notable victories came from junior Ryan Lester (Heath, Texas) in the 500 freestyle (4:55.94), sophomore Max Fedorenko (Chicago, Ill.) in the 100 free (47.40) and classmate John Frank (Highland, Md.) in the 100 breaststroke (58.84).
 
Picking up their first collegiate victories were freshmen Wyatt Rice (Salem, N.H.) in the 200 free (1:48.86), Nicholas Hardt (Friendswood, Texas) in the 200 butterfly (1:58.68), Keanne Hernandez (Deer Park, N.Y.) in the 100 fly (52.27) and  Kov in the 1M & 3M Dive.
 
On the women's side, Merchant Marine claimed victories in all by two of the 16 events on the evening. A pair of Mariners won two events each, as junior Victoria Crofford (Fairfax, Va.) triumphed in the one-meter (124.20) and the three-meter (119.78) and freshman Bryony Shipe (Ford City, Pa.) touched first in both the 200 free (2:06.28) and the 500 free (5:44.87).
 
Other notable victories came from junior Isabel Lunsford (Burnet, Texas) in the 100 fly (25.63) and senior Jessica Felske (East Troy, Wis.) in the 100 breast (1:11.81), while three Mariner freshmen earned their first collegiate victories - Natalie Scafetta (Menlo Park, Calif.) in the 1000 free (11:34.62), Kaitlyn Adams (King George, Va.) in the 100 backstroke (2:20.91) and Natalie Woodman (Langhorne, Pa.) in the 100 free (58.68).
 
The "Mariner of the Meet" honors, awarded based on a team vote to an individual for their performance and contribution to the team, went to Fedorenko for the men and Adams for the women.
 
Up next, the Mariners will travel to The College of New Jersey Nov. 21-23 for the annual TCNJ Invite.
