Broadwell was named Head Equipment Manager at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in July 2011.  He is in charge of equipment for all athletic teams and works exclusively with football and lacrosse to ensure equipment safety for the Midshipmen.

Previously, Broadwell worked as an assistant at the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY where he assisted with football and was in charge of all equipment for lacrosse from 2010-2011.  From 2008-2009, he served as an equipment intern for Villanova University where he worked exclusively with the football, baseball, basketball, and lacrosse teams.   

Born in Spokane, WA, Broadwell graduated from the University if Washington in 2008 with a degree in Economic Geogrophy.  While there, he worked as a student equipment manager and developed a passion for football and athletic equipment. 

Broadwell currently resides in Douglaston, NY with a few of the Academy's assistant coaches.
