53 Mariner Student-Athletes Earn ECAC Academic Honors For Winter & Spring Seasons

KINGS POINT, N.Y. (July 6, 2018) – The Eastern College Athletic Conference recently announced the Academic Honor Rolls for the Winter 2017-18 and Spring 2018 seasons and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy had a total of 53 student-athletes recognized for their excellent performances in the classroom. 

The ECAC Academic Honor Roll is split into two tiers. The Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who achieved a 3.2-3.59 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and have completed one full academic year at their current institution. The second tier, the President's Honor Roll, recognizes student-athletes who have a GPA of 3.6 or better and have completed a full academic year at their institution. 

In total, throughout the entire 2017-18 athletic seasons, 83 Merchant Marine student-athletes were recognized on the ECAC Academic Honor Rolls. There were 30 Mariners selected to the Fall 2017 Academic Honor Rolls.
