Jesselyn LaValley-Johnston ’10 Earns A Spot On Landmark Softball All-Decade Team

KINGS POINT, N.Y. (May 26, 2017) – Former U.S. Merchant Marine Academy multi-sport student-athlete Jesselyn LaValley-Johnston '10 was selected to the Landmark Conference Softball All-Decade Team, the league announced in late April. The All-Decade Team was voted on by current Landmark Conference head softball coaches.
 
LaValley was dominant for the Mariners in both volleyball and softball during her time at Kings Point. She earned the Julie A. Berke Trophy in 2010 for her athletic excellence throughout her career. For the USMMA softball team, the Havelock, N.C., native was the Landmark Player of the Year in 2009 and 2010. She was also a two-time All-Landmark First Team selection in 2009 and 2010 and earned Second Team honors in 2008. LaValley annually ranked in the top-five in the Landmark in nearly every offensive and pitching category during her time on the diamond.
