Wednesday’s Baseball Game Cancelled & Tennis Match Postponed

KINGS POINT, N.Y. (April 26, 2017) – The rainy weather that hit the New York Metropolitan Area on Tuesday left lingering effects on Wednesday that forced schedule changes for two USMMA spring teams. See below for more details.

Baseball's non-conference game at former Landmark opponent Drew University that was scheduled for 4 p.m. has been cancelled with no make-up date. The Mariners will conclude the regular season this Saturday, April 29, with a home non-conference doubleheader (two seven-inning games) against City College of New York. First pitch is scheduled for 12-noon. Prior to the opening game, the USMMA baseball program will pay tribute to its seven graduating seniors with a special Senior Day ceremony.

Tennis' Skyline Conference match on the road at St. Joseph's of Long Island that was scheduled for 5 p.m. has been postponed. No make-up date has been determined as of yet, but stay logged on to the USMMA Tennis Schedule Page for more information as it becomes available. Up next, the Mariners are scheduled to close out the regular season with a home match on Friday, April 28, against non-conference opponent Western Connecticut State, which is slated for a 4 p.m. start at the Brooks Stadium Courts.
